Hi all! I’m really interested in upgrading my home’s heating system with smart radiator valves. After some research, I’ve narrowed it down to Tado and Netatmo, but I’m curious to hear others’ experiences.
I’ve been using OpenHab for a while now, and I love how customizable it is. My main goal is to monitor each radiator’s temperature, check if the valve is open or closed, and adjust the setpoint individually. I’ve read that the current Netatmo integration might not support changing the setpoint for single valves—is that accurate?
If anyone has successfully integrated Tado or Netatmo with OpenHab, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you have. Have you noticed any differences in performance or ease of use between the two brands? Also, are there any hidden features or gotchas I should be aware of before making a purchase?
It would be fantastic to see some example configurations or learn about any custom automations people have created. I’m really excited to dive into this project and make my heating system as efficient and smart as possible! Thanks in advance for all your insights and advice. ![]()
