Hi everyone, I’m currently remodeling my laundry room and have hit a snag with upgrading my light switches. I need a smart switch that can control two separate lights—a double switch setup where the left button controls the laundry room light and the right controls the patio light outside. I don’t need dimming functionality, just simple on/off control. The challenge is that I don’t want to enlarge the gang box, so I need something that fits within the existing space.
I’ve been researching various smart switch options but haven’t found a perfect fit yet. Some models seem promising, but I’m concerned about compatibility and installation complexity. Has anyone successfully installed a dual-button smart switch without expanding the gang box? Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!
I’m also curious about others’ experiences with similar setups. How do you manage multiple lights with a single switch? Do you use smart bulbs, individual switches, or a combination of both? I’d love to hear about your solutions and any lessons learned along the way.
Thanks in advance for your insights and advice! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other navigate the world of smart home automation.
