Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home technology, and I’ve got a few questions and experiences to share. First off, I’ve been experimenting with adding an extra thermostat sensor in my living room, but I’m a bit puzzled about how it interacts with my existing radiator valve (TRV). I placed it in the middle of the room to get a better temperature reading, but I’m not sure if it overrides the TRV or how it communicates with it. Has anyone else tried something similar? I’d love to hear how you’ve set it up and if it’s made a noticeable difference in your home’s heating system.
On another note, I’ve been absolutely inspired by the DIY projects shared here. Seeing how creative everyone gets with their Govee lights and other devices is truly amazing. I recently tried my hand at creating a custom curtain light setup, and while it’s not perfect yet, it’s been a fun learning experience. I’m curious if there’s a way to tweak someone else’s DIY template to suit my specific needs. For instance, adding a color transition effect or adjusting the speed of the lights. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
I also wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some of the amazing ambassadors I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. Their dedication and creativity are a huge part of what makes this community so vibrant. It’s heartwarming to see how many of them are still actively contributing, even after being part of the team for several years. A special shoutout to @Me

Lastly, I’ve been exploring how to integrate multiple brands of smart devices into a cohesive system. It’s a bit of a challenge, but seeing everything work together seamlessly is incredibly rewarding. If anyone has tips on managing different ecosystems or has successfully integrated devices from various manufacturers, I’d love to hear about your experiences.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from all of you! Let’s keep the creativity flowing and continue to support each other in our smart home journeys. ![]()
