Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions. First off, I’ve been researching smart thermostats, and I’m curious to hear what you all think about the Tado, Nest, and Netatmo models. I’ve heard great things about their energy efficiency and app integrations, but I’m not sure which one would be the best fit for my home. If anyone has personal experiences or recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
On another note, I recently upgraded my Zigbee setup by switching from a Sonoff 3.0 Dongle to a SkyConnect. While the transfer process went smoothly, I’m still hitting a snag with the device limit. It seems I’m capped at 20 devices, even though I thought SkyConnect could handle more. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? I’m still using ZHA, so I’m not sure if there’s a firmware update or configuration tweak that could help.
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with integrating my Sonos speakers into my home automation setup. The music quality is fantastic, but I’m missing out on album art and artist info. It would be awesome to have an integration that pulls this data automatically. I’ve looked into using APIs like Shazam’s, but I’m not quite sure how to implement it. If anyone has a solution or suggestion, I’d be grateful!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!
