Hi everyone, I’m currently exploring the Universal Smart Wi-Fi 4-Speed Ceiling Fan Remote from Home Depot. It’s supposed to work with Google Assistant, SmartThings, and Alexa, which is great, but I have some questions about its compatibility and setup.
I’ve been using the Wink version and got it working in SmartThings via a device handler, but it only works in the classic app, not the new one. I’m wondering if the new fan remote will work seamlessly in the new SmartThings app without any custom coding or device handlers. The Home Depot site mentions it works via the Bond app, and since Bond is supported by SmartThings, I’m hopeful, but I want to make sure before I proceed with installation.
Has anyone else had experience with this fan remote? Did it work out of the box in the new SmartThings app? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!
I’m also curious if others have tried integrating multiple smart devices from different brands into a cohesive system. I’d love to hear about your experiences and how you’ve managed to make everything work together smoothly.
