Hi everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share my journey so far. I recently acquired a Telldus temperature sensor and a TP-Link WiFi socket, and I’m trying to create a system that adjusts heating based on temperature readings. The goal is to have two flows—one for daytime and one for nighttime—that automatically turn on the heating when the temperature drops below a certain threshold and turn it off once it reaches a set target.
I’ve managed to link the Telldus sensor through Telldus Live, and the TP-Link socket is up and running with energy monitoring. However, I’m hitting a snag when it comes to setting up the flows. I found an old guide, but it doesn’t quite align with my current setup, and I’m not sure where I’m going wrong. I’m hoping someone here might have experience with similar setups or could point me in the right direction.
One thing I’m particularly curious about is how to schedule these flows to operate during specific time windows. For example, the nighttime flow should only activate between 10 PM and 6 AM, while the daytime flow should run from 6 AM to 10 PM. I’m also wondering if there’s a way to prioritize one flow over the other during overlapping periods.
I’m really excited about the potential of this setup, but I could use some guidance to get everything working smoothly. Any tips, tricks, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
