Exploring SmartThings Hub Login Loop Issue and Potential Solutions

Hello everyone, I’ve been a long-time user of the SmartThings v2 hub and have recently encountered a puzzling issue with a new Android phone. After installing the latest SmartThings app from Google Play, I noticed that logging in doesn’t proceed as expected. Here’s what happens:

Upon opening the app and clicking the login button, it prompts for credentials. After entering them, the screen takes a few seconds and then returns to the login button, with no home info displayed. Switching browsers or clearing app data/cache didn’t resolve the issue. Even trying to log in through Chrome works fine, but the app itself seems stuck in a loop.

I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, including switching default browsers, clearing cookies, and ensuring the user account has admin privileges. The old phone still works, but I’m hesitant to log out in case I can’t get back in. This issue is frustrating, especially since everything else seems to be working fine.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’d greatly appreciate any suggestions or ideas to try next. It feels like the login might be successful, but somehow the configuration isn’t downloading properly to the phone. Any insights would be invaluable!
