Exploring SmartThings Integration with Amazon Echo Devices

Hello everyone! I’m really excited to share my journey with integrating multiple SmartThings hubs with my Amazon Echo devices. It’s been quite the adventure, and I’m hoping to get some insights from the community to help me optimize my setup.

So, here’s the deal: I have 1 Amazon Echo and 2 Echo Dots, along with 2 SmartThings hubs—one in my house and another in a pole barn next to it. I’ve been wanting to add another SmartThings hub in my outdoor observatory, but I’ve hit a snag. The Echo devices only allow me to connect one SmartThings hub at a time. I’ve come across mentions of setting up with different Amazon accounts or using Alexa Helper, but I’m still a bit fuzzy on the exact steps. Has anyone successfully integrated multiple hubs with their Echo devices? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have!

On another note, I just ordered a Hubitat Elevation hub, and I’m thrilled to dive into its features. It’s a bit nerve-wracking seeing the price jump, but I’m hopeful it’ll be worth the investment. I’ve heard so many great things about it from the SmartThings community, and I’m eager to see how it can enhance my setup. If anyone has tips on smoothly transitioning from SmartThings to Hubitat without causing too much disruption, I’d be grateful!

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the Hubitat community and am impressed by the wealth of knowledge and resources available. It’s comforting to know there’s such a supportive group of enthusiasts out there. I’m looking forward to learning more and contributing my own experiences as I go along.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you all!
