Exploring SmartThings Integration with openHab and Zigbee Adapter

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately and thought I’d share some of my experiences and questions. First off, I’ve been using openHab as my central system, and while it’s incredibly powerful with its sitemaps and dedicated app, I’ve been missing out on the seamless native experience on my Samsung phone. That got me thinking—wouldn’t it be awesome to expose some of my openHab items directly to SmartThings? I’m curious if anyone has tried this or has any insights on how to approach it. It would be amazing to control certain devices natively on my phone without relying solely on openHab’s app.

On another note, I’ve been exploring Zigbee adapters and stumbled upon the SMLIGHT SLZB-07. It’s got the same Silicon EFR32MG21 chip as the Skucomnect, which I’ve heard great things about. The built-in antenna and smaller size are definite pluses, and it’s a bit more affordable too. However, I’m a bit hesitant because there’s limited user feedback out there. Has anyone had a chance to try this adapter? I’d love to hear about any experiences or potential issues others might have encountered. :male_detective::male_sign:

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with lighting automation and wanted to share a neat trick I discovered. By setting up motion sensors to trigger lights at a low brightness during the night, I’ve managed to create a much more convenient and energy-efficient setup in my bathroom. It’s a small tweak, but it’s made a big difference in my daily routine. :star2:

If anyone has tips on improving these setups or has tried similar integrations, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s keep the ideas flowing and learn from each other’s experiences.
