I’ve been diving into the world of home automation recently, and it’s been an exciting yet sometimes frustrating journey. One of my latest projects has been trying to integrate my Smartthings Zigbee sirens directly with Hubitat. While the initial setup seemed straightforward, I’ve run into some hurdles that I’m hoping the community can help me overcome.
I have three of these sirens, and I’d love to have them fully integrated into my Hubitat ecosystem. Every time I try to pair them with the hub, I get a DEVICE found, but when I attempt to use the user driver provided by @gabrielle for Generic Zigbee Sirens, it doesn’t seem to work. Has anyone successfully integrated these sirens or has a driver that could make this work? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with creating routines to manage my home’s state transitions, like transitioning to ‘bedtime.’ I’ve heard that using a virtual switch can be a great way to trigger these routines, but I’ve hit a snag with an error message saying I don’t have any hubs yet. I’ve already connected my Smartthings hub using the welcome code, so this is a bit confusing. I’m hoping someone can shed some light on how to resolve this so I can finally set up that bedtime routine!
Overall, my journey with home automation has been filled with both triumphs and trials. I’m excited to see how I can continue to expand and refine my setup, and I’m eager to learn from the experiences of others in this amazing community. If anyone has tips, tricks, or solutions to the challenges I’ve mentioned, please share! Let’s continue to grow and innovate together. ![]()
