Exploring SMLIGHT Setup: CC2674P10 and EFR32MG24 Compatibility

Hello everyone, I’m diving into the world of SMLIGHT setups and have some questions about chip compatibility. I’ve been researching the CC2674P10 and EFR32MG24 chips and how well they’re supported in Z2M, especially with Thread and Matter. I’m curious if there’s a noticeable difference in performance between these chips and the older CC2652P variant, especially when considering price parity.

From what I gather, the MR3 model uses the combo of G24 and P10, while the MR2 and MR1 use different chip combinations. I’ve also come across mentions of ZBT-2 potentially supporting Zigbee 4.0, which is exciting but still speculative. I wonder if the newer EFR32MG24-based devices will offer better support compared to the older G21 variant.

Another point I’m pondering is the CC2674P10’s exclusive support for Zigbee. For a dual SoC setup, does this make it a more reliable choice compared to other options? I’d love to hear from anyone who has hands-on experience with these chips or can provide insights into their performance and compatibility.

This exploration is part of my journey in understanding how to optimize my smart home setup, and I’m eager to learn from the community’s experiences. Thanks in advance for any advice or anecdotes you can share!
