Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of solar-powered devices and camera setups in my smart home, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community.
Solar-Powered Cameras I’ve been curious about running my Wyze Cam 3 Pro on solar or battery power instead of the standard 120V AC. I’ve heard great things about solar solutions for outdoor devices, but I’m not entirely sure where to start. Has anyone successfully set this up? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any challenges you’ve encountered! Camera Group View Issues Speaking of cameras, I’ve noticed an issue when viewing multiple Wyze Cam V2s in a group. The video streams usually connect smoothly, but when I try to switch to a single camera view, it often gets stuck on ‘Getting Video Data (3/3)’. It’s a minor annoyance, but it happens frequently enough to be frustrating. Any tips on how to resolve this? Lock User Codes and Tracking Access Another topic I’ve been exploring is setting up user codes for my Yale Touchscreen Z-Wave Lever Lock. I’d like to provide access to around 50 users, each with a unique code, so I can track their activity. While the lock itself supports up to 250 users, I’m unsure how this integrates with my 2GIG panel, which only allows 32 user codes. Does anyone have experience with this setup? How does the tracking work if the panel imposes a limit? DIY Solutions and Tricks On a lighter note, I stumbled upon a creative solution for cutting double-sided foam tape using a plastic saw made from recycled materials. It’s been a game-changer for organizing my devices! I’d love to hear if others have any DIY hacks or clever tools they’ve discovered for their smart home projects. Community Support I’ve been truly impressed by the support and knowledge shared within this community. Whether it’s troubleshooting issues or discovering new features, the collective wisdom here is invaluable. A huge thank you to everyone who contributes their insights and experiences! If anyone has advice on the topics I’ve mentioned or wants to share their own smart home adventures, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to innovate together. ![]()
