I’ve been using Spotify Connect with the Spotify media player via Snapserver in Home Assistant, and overall, it’s been a great experience. However, I’ve been disappointed with the browse mode. Typically, I see a basic interface when I start browsing, and once I start playing something from a playlist, I can only skip tracks without seeing the entire playlist unless I restart the browsing process. This limitation has been a bit frustrating for me.
I also installed Music Assistant, which offers a much deeper integration with Spotify. However, the issue is that Music Assistant doesn’t connect to Snapserver, which is crucial for my setup. I checked the GitHub repositories for both Snapserver and Music Assistant, but it doesn’t look like an integration is available at the moment. This has left me wondering if there are other options or integrations that people are using to enhance their Spotify browsing experience within Home Assistant.
If anyone has found alternative solutions or has tips on how to improve the browse mode functionality, I’d love to hear about them! It would be amazing to find a way to make browsing playlists more seamless and user-friendly within Home Assistant. Let me know your thoughts or experiences below!
