Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of openHAB lately and wanted to share my experiences and some questions I’ve come across. I recently set up the Systeminfo Binding to monitor my Raspberry Pi 4, which is running openHAB. I’ve configured items for network, CPU, memory, and storage metrics, and it’s been pretty informative so far. However, I’ve encountered some errors related to battery monitoring, which I don’t need since I’m running on a Pi. The logs keep showing DeviceNotFoundException for battery channels, and I’ve tried reinstalling the binding and clearing the cache without success. Has anyone else faced this issue, and do you have any suggestions to resolve it? Moving on to a different topic, I’ve been experimenting with smart lighting for my home. I’ve heard great things about Govee products, and their naming scheme is quite unique. While it’s fun to see names like H6061, I’d love if they provided a brief description to make it easier for users to identify products at a glance. For example, knowing that H6061 is a 5m RGBIC strip would save a lot of confusion. Speaking of lighting, I’m also exploring ways to create custom lighting effects for holidays. I’ve come across Event Engine, but I’d prefer to stick with Room Lighting if possible. Does anyone know if Room Lighting supports creating gradual color transitions, like shifting from red to white to blue for Independence Day celebrations? Lastly, I’d love to hear about your experiences with integrating different smart devices and any tips you have for troubleshooting common issues. This community is always a great resource for learning and sharing ideas. Cheers, and happy automating! ![]()
