I’ve recently been diving into the world of motion lighting automation, and it’s been a fascinating journey!
I set up my motion lighting app with the goal of having lights turn on automatically when motion is detected, especially during evening and night modes. While the basic functionality works as intended, I’ve encountered a small issue that I’m eager to resolve. ![]()
The problem arises when I manually turn off the bar lights during evening or night modes. Despite having the “disable off during evening/night modes” option enabled, the other lights connected to the system also turn off. My ideal setup would be for the other lights to remain on even if I manually turn off the bar lights. I’ve included some screenshots of my current configuration below for reference.

I’m curious if others have faced similar challenges and how they’ve resolved them. Have you found a way to maintain control over individual lights while still benefiting from the convenience of motion automation? I’d love to hear your insights and solutions! ![]()
