Exploring the Benefits of Zigbee in a Power-Interruption Prone Area

I wanted to share my experience with using Zigbee devices in my home, particularly since I live in an area with frequent power glitches. I’ve been using a Conbee II via the Deconz integration with Hue light bulbs, dimmer switches, and Xiaomi sensors, all running on Home Assistant supervised on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Generally, everything works smoothly, but after a power outage, it takes a significant amount of time and manual effort to get all the Zigbee devices back online. Some Hue bulbs start flashing and need to be power cycled, while some switches take a long time to reconnect. I’m curious if this is a common issue with Zigbee or if switching from Deconz to ZHA could help improve this situation.

Has anyone else experienced similar challenges? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any solutions you might have found. It would be great to explore ways to make the system more resilient to power interruptions without requiring constant manual intervention.

Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can share!
