The release of Govee Home v6.1 has brought a wave of excitement to my smart home setup! 
I’ve been eagerly waiting for this update, and I must say, it’s exceeded my expectations. Let me share my experience and the new features that have truly enhanced my daily interactions with my devices.
First off, the expanded Device Control Page Customization is a game-changer. Being able to tailor the interface to my preferences, especially for my RGBIC Strip Lights and Curtain Lights, has made controlling my devices so much more intuitive. The ability to rearrange and hide functions based on how I use them is a feature I’ve been longing for!
One of the standout additions for me is the Gallery for Curtain Lights. Discovering pre-made art assets and patterns has opened up a whole new realm of creativity. I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with different designs and even saving my favorites for quick access. It’s like having an artist’s palette right at my fingertips!
For those of us with Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro, the new Segmentation Mode is a dream come true. Customizing zones and assigning different Scene Modes to each has allowed me to create truly unique outdoor lighting scenarios. It’s amazing how much this feature adds to the ambiance of my space!
Another feature that’s quickly become indispensable is the Auto Run Sunrise/Sunset Advanced Actions. Setting actions to trigger up to 4 hours before or after sunrise or sunset has added a layer of convenience I hadn’t even imagined. Waking up to a gradual increase in light or dimming the lights as the sun sets creates a seamless transition that feels natural and calming.
I also appreciate the fine-tuning of notifications for the GoveeLife Ice Maker. Having control over which notifications I receive means I’m not overwhelmed with unnecessary alerts, making the integration into my daily life smoother than ever.
What’s even more impressive is the upcoming optimization for Temp and Humidity Sensors. The ability to customize the order of the hygrograph display will undoubtedly be a huge help for those monitoring environmental conditions closely.
