  • I integrated the Govee Vibration Sensor into the base of the shelf. The idea was to use it as a trigger for a workout timer.
  • To control the lighting, I paired it with a Govee H6182 WiFi TV Strip Light. This allowed me to set up a vibrant color-changing display for the timer.

The Automation:

  • I connected everything to my Alexa smart home system. When my wife taps the shelf (using the vibration sensor), Alexa starts a 1-hour timer.
  • The strip light changes colors every 10 minutes, giving her visual cues to keep track of her workout progress.
  • At the end of the timer, Alexa even gives her a nice “Well done!” message. :blush:

The Outcome:
It’s been a hit! My wife loves how interactive and motivating the setup is. The combination of the vibration sensor and the dynamic lighting makes her workouts feel more engaging. Plus, it’s a conversation starter—friends and family are always amazed by how it all works together!
