Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I’m really excited about the possibilities with the Nuki 3.0 door sensor. I’ve heard that it’s designed to work seamlessly with HomeKit, but I’m curious to know if it can be used as a standalone sensor to trigger HomeKit actions. This would be fantastic for automating things like lights or security cameras based on door activity. Has anyone had success with this setup? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with SmartThings automations and ran into an interesting issue. After migrating my setup a few weeks ago, everything was running smoothly. However, last night, I noticed that the automation for switching between home, away, and night modes had disappeared. For example, if it’s 10 PM and I’m in home mode, I want the night mode scene to activate. But now, it just runs the night mode regardless of whether I’m home or away. I’m not sure if this is a bug or if there’s a setting I missed. If anyone has encountered this or knows how to fix it, I’d really appreciate your help!
Lastly, I came across the MFP Shape Shifting feature and it’s fascinating! It’s amazing how devices can adapt to different environments and user needs. I’m curious to see how others are utilizing this feature in their smart home setups. Are there any creative or unexpected ways you’ve applied it? I’d love to hear your stories and insights!
