The recent update to Home Assistant Core 0.107 brought some exciting changes, and I wanted to share my experience with the new features. One of the standout additions is the ability to create multiple Lovelace dashboards. This has completely transformed how I organize my smart home setup.
Previously, I had to manage everything from a single dashboard, which could get cluttered. Now, I can have a main dashboard for daily use, an auto-generated one for an overview, and even a dedicated dashboard for my wall-mounted tablet. The flexibility is amazing!
Another feature that caught my attention is the new media player card. It’s not just a functional upgrade; the design is visually stunning, especially with the color changes based on the media artwork. It’s like having a mini music player integrated seamlessly into my setup.
I also appreciate the improvements in the Lovelace editing experience. The new card picker with live previews makes customizing my dashboards so much easier. It’s a small touch, but it makes a big difference in usability.
If you’re looking to streamline your smart home setup or enhance your media experience, I highly recommend exploring these new features. Have you tried the multiple dashboards yet? What’s your favorite part of the update? Let’s discuss!
