Exploring the Philips Hue Ecosystem for Immersive Lighting

Hello everyone! I recently purchased the new 65" LG B4 OLED TV, and I’m thrilled to discover it supports the Philips Hue Sync TV app. This feature has always been something I wanted to dive into, especially since I’ve been using budget Wi-Fi lights with Alexa for ambiance. Moving into a larger flat has given me the perfect opportunity to expand my lighting setup, and I’m eager to explore the Philips Hue ecosystem to create an immersive experience for both movies and everyday ambiance.

I’ve read that the Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip (65") works seamlessly with the Sync TV app, which is great. I also understand that a Hue Bridge is necessary to connect everything. I’m considering adding some Hue Play Light Bars and Signe Gradient floor lamps to complement the setup. My main questions are:

  1. Can I use regular Hue color bulbs (like E27 or GU10) with the Sync TV app for ambient lighting that matches the screen content?
  2. Are third-party Zigbee lights compatible with Hue Sync, or is it limited to official Hue products?
  3. What Hue lights or accessories do you recommend for a fantastic TV experience or general living space ambiance?
  4. Are there any Hue features, like scenes or automations, that you find particularly useful beyond just syncing to the TV?

I’m also open to any tips or experiences others have had with Hue products. Whether it’s creating custom scenes or setting up routines, I’d love to hear your insights! Let’s collaborate and make something truly special together. Thanks for your support and ideas! :bulb:
