Exploring the Piggy Bank App for Smart Energy Management

I’ve recently discovered the Piggy Bank app and it’s been a game-changer for managing my electricity usage in Norway. This app helps ensure that my power consumption stays within the targeted tariff, which is especially useful given the fluctuating energy prices. The app continuously adds new features, which keeps things interesting and efficient.

One thing I wanted to share is how I managed to get my unsupported Philips Hue devices recognized by the app. After some research, I found that sending a device report was the key. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Opened the app settings
  2. Navigated to the ‘Help’ menu
  3. Selected ‘The app cannot find my device’
  4. Generated and sent the report

Once the report was processed, my devices were added to the supported list. It was a smooth process and I’m glad to have my Hue devices integrated now!

I’m curious if others have had similar experiences or if there are other devices that could use this feature. Let me know your thoughts!
