Hello everyone, I’ve been thinking about a way to simplify device detection in my smart home setup. The idea is to have the hub automatically scan the local Wi-Fi network and identify connected devices using their MAC addresses. This would eliminate the need for everyone in my family to install the SmartThings app just for presence detection. If a known device is detected, it would automatically trigger that the person is home. I’m curious if this is technically feasible and if anyone has experience or insights on how to implement this.
