I’ve been really excited about the possibilities of using the Aqara T1 Cube in my smart home setup. It’s such a versatile device, and I was thrilled when I first set it up—it recognized flips, spins, and even allowed me to switch between scene and action modes seamlessly. However, recently I’ve noticed that the cube is no longer supporting all the functionalities it used to. Specifically, it only recognizes flips and spins now, and I can’t seem to switch between scene and action modes in the Aqara app.
I’ve tried resetting the cube, reinstalling the app, and even checking for firmware updates, but nothing seems to be working. It’s a bit frustrating because I was really relying on the cube’s ability to automate different scenes in my home. For example, I had set it up so that flipping the cube one way would turn on the living room lights, and flipping it another way would dim them. Now, that functionality is gone, and I’m back to using individual switches.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Aqara T1 Cube? I’d love to hear if there’s a workaround or a fix for this. I’m also curious to know if others are using the cube for more advanced automations and how they’re managing it. Maybe there’s a different app or integration that can help me regain the functionality I used to have.
In the meantime, I’m exploring other ways to achieve the same level of automation. I’ve heard great things about integrations with Home Assistant and Hubitat, so I’m considering setting up a more robust automation system. If anyone has tips or recommendations on how to get started with these platforms, I’d be really grateful!
It’s a shame that the cube isn’t working as seamlessly as it used to, but I’m hopeful that with some troubleshooting and maybe a few adjustments, I can get it back up and running. Fingers crossed!
