As a longtime Rule Machine user, I have been blown away by the simplicity and power of Basic Rule. It is not only user-friendly but also executes faster than the equivalent Rule Machine rules. I have been in the process of recreating as many rules as possible in Basic Rule, and I must say, the results have been impressive. However, I have noticed a few areas where Basic Rule could be enhanced further to unlock even more potential.
One thing I wonder about is the possibility of adding more triggers, such as local and remote endpoints, locks locking/unlocking, or even Rule Machine’s custom attribute trigger. This would allow users to create more powerful rules using the Basic Rule interface. Additionally, it would be great if the minutes box could accept decimal values, providing more flexibility in timing.
Another observation I have is that while most device types can select multiple devices to trigger actions, button device types can only select one button device. This seems a bit limiting, and I am curious if this is intentional or if it could be addressed in future updates.
Overall, Basic Rule has been a game-changer for me, and I am excited to see how it continues to evolve. I appreciate the efforts put into creating such a wonderful tool and look forward to seeing more enhancements in the future. Thanks for considering my suggestions, and thanks for creating Basic Rule!
