As I continue my journey with Home Assistant, I’ve been fascinated by the possibilities of custom components. Recently, I stumbled upon a custom component for monitoring printer ink levels, which immediately caught my interest. The idea of integrating such a component into my setup seemed both practical and innovative.
I decided to give it a try and followed the instructions provided. The process involved installing the ink command on my Debian-based system and setting up the sensor configuration. While the installation was straightforward, I realized the importance of tailoring the sensors to my specific needs.
