One of the most exciting discoveries I’ve made is the ESPurna firmware for ITEAD Sonoff devices. After testing various custom firmwares, I decided to go with ESPurna, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for me.
The ability to integrate these devices into OpenHAB using MQTT is undeniably powerful. However, as I quickly realized, the process can be quite cumbersome, especially when dealing with multiple devices. Configuring each topic manually for every item feels like a step backward in terms of automation.
