As a long-time user of Wyze devices, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the reliability and innovative features they offer. However, one area I believe could be enhanced is the Wyze Video Doorbell’s functionality. I’ve noticed that while the doorbell provides excellent video quality and push notifications, it lacks a simple yet crucial feature: a direct power-off button or toggle that can be accessed while viewing the live feed. This feature is present in Wyze’s V2 cameras, and I’m curious if it could be extended to the doorbell as well.
Imagine being able to disable the doorbell’s recording and notifications directly from the live view interface. This would be incredibly useful in scenarios where you’re working near the door and want to prevent accidental triggers or recordings. It would also add a layer of convenience, allowing users to manage their privacy settings on the fly without having to navigate through multiple menus.
I’d love to hear from the Wyze team about the possibility of implementing this feature. Additionally, I’m curious if other users have encountered situations where such a feature would be beneficial or if there are workarounds they’ve discovered in the meantime. Your insights and experiences would be invaluable!
In the meantime, I’m continuing to explore the doorbell’s capabilities and appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into each Wyze product. Keep up the great work!
