Exploring the Wyze Sense Sensor System and Its Standalone Potential

I’ve been exploring the Wyze Sense sensor system lately and I’m really intrigued by its capabilities. However, I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to use this system as a standalone setup without relying on the home monitoring service. I’ve used older systems that simply sent notifications to my phone when triggered, like a contact switch on my mailbox or garage door. Those setups were straightforward and didn’t require any additional services, so I’d love to see the Wyze Sense system offer that flexibility too.

If Wyze could make the new system work as a standalone, it would cater to users like me who prefer a simpler, service-free experience. I’d be happy to still have the option to use the monitoring service, but it shouldn’t be the only way to utilize the sensors. It would be a logical step, especially since they no longer sell the old system with the bridge.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has thoughts on this or has managed to set up a standalone system with Wyze Sense. Sharing experiences and tips would be invaluable for the community! :star2:
