Hi all, I’ve been diving into setting up my Tradfri lights and wanted to share my experience and a few tips I’ve picked up along the way. First, I want to address a common question about linking items to a channel of a Thing. I found that organizing my lights into groups and channels made managing them much easier, especially when dealing with multiple bulbs and remotes. I created separate groups for different areas of my home, which really streamlined the process. It’s amazing how much more manageable everything becomes with a bit of organization!
Another topic I wanted to touch on is waterproofing. I recently installed some Govee H6125 lights in my bathroom, and I was concerned about moisture affecting them. After doing some research, I found a clever solution by using a combination of silicone sealant and a protective cover. This not only kept the lights dry but also gave them a sleek look. I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried similar methods or has other waterproofing tips!
Lastly, I stumbled upon an excellent DIY project where someone converted their OC3 weather station to run on solar power. It was a bit of a project, but the end result was impressive.
