Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Ubiquiti mFi sensors lately and I’m really impressed by their potential. The sensors themselves are priced quite competitively, and I’ve been using Ubiquiti gateways, switches, and access points for years without any issues. However, I’m currently on a quest to integrate these sensors with SmartThings, and I’d love to hear if anyone else has had success with this setup.
I’ve been using motion and door sensors for a while now, but they’ve been a bit of a pain to maintain—constantly dealing with battery issues and quirky behavior. The Ubiquiti sensors seem like a more reliable alternative, but the catch is that they require a hub running the ‘server’ software, which I believe is the mPort hub available on Amazon. I’m curious if there’s a way to bridge the gap between these sensors and SmartThings without too much hassle.
Has anyone managed to get this working? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! I’m also open to suggestions on whether there are other hubs or configurations that might make this integration smoother. Let’s brainstorm together!
Cheers,
