I recently set up a temperature sensor that’s supposed to update every 5 minutes, but I noticed it wasn’t reporting consistently. After some research, I discovered that Vera stores the last update time, so I thought a script might help monitor this. I’m curious if others have tackled similar issues—maybe using LUA or PLEG scripts? It would be awesome to hear how you’ve kept your sensors reliable and received timely alerts when they go offline.
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with integrating multiple devices and brands into my system. While it’s been a learning curve, the flexibility has been incredible. For instance, I set up a rule where my outdoor lights turn on at dusk and off at dawn, but sometimes it doesn’t work as expected.
