Hey everyone, I’m really curious about setting up a virtual door key system using my Apple Watch. I’ve heard that NFC tags can be used for automation, but I’m specifically interested in integrating this with my Apple Watch. Unfortunately, I know the Apple Watch doesn’t read NFC tags, so I’m wondering if there’s a workaround or alternative solution that could make this happen.
I’ve tried a few different approaches, like placing NFC stickers on my door and setting up automations, but it just doesn’t feel seamless. My ultimate goal is to have a system where I can simply hold my Apple Watch near the door and have it unlock automatically. I’m not sure if this requires additional hardware or if there’s a clever software setup I haven’t discovered yet.
