Hi everyone, I just wanted to share some of my recent experiences with integrating smart home devices and customizing my setup. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’d love to hear others’ thoughts and tips!
First, I came across the new YR weather device after the recent firmware update. It’s been impressing me with its accuracy for my location. I’m curious if others have had success querying this device using Lua or through the API? I’d love to automate some routines based on weather data!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with the Lira lamp. It’s been a great addition to my lighting setup, but I’m wondering if anyone has tips on customizing its color modes or integrating it with other smart devices. The ability to create custom scenes would take it to the next level!
Speaking of customization, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to remove and reuse LED strips. Does anyone have a reliable method for this without damaging the strips? I’d also love to hear about the best adhesive solutions for reinstallation. It would be fantastic to repurpose these strips for different areas of my home!
Lastly, I’d love to hear about others’ experiences with smart thermostats, especially the Nest Thermostat 4th Gen. I’ve heard mixed reviews about compatibility with different HVAC systems. Has anyone successfully integrated it with a Daikin system? Any troubleshooting tips or success stories would be invaluable!
