Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the new Weather LED Ring Screensaver on Homey and I must say, it’s been a fun experiment. I’ve noticed that there’s a variable called “weather” in the tag, but so far, I’ve only seen “clouds” pop up in my variables. The animations have been either a spectrum or just white, which is cool, but I’m curious about the other possibilities.
I’ve been thinking about how to use this in my flows. For instance, could I set it to change colors based on the actual weather conditions? Imagine having blue for rain, green for clear skies, and yellow for cloudy days. That would add a nice visual cue to my home automation setup!
I’ve scoured the knowledge base and forums, but it seems like there’s not much documentation on the specific colors tied to each weather variable. Has anyone else figured this out? I’d love to hear your insights or workarounds. Maybe there’s a way to map these colors manually or through a custom script.
In the meantime, I’ve been playing around with the existing options. It’s been a great way to add some ambiance to my living room, even if it’s just a spectrum of colors. I’m excited to see what other features and integrations Homey comes up with in the future. Keep the ideas coming, everyone! ![]()
