Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of WebCoRE lately and stumbled upon a really cool feature called ‘Followed By’. I wanted to share my experience and how it’s transformed my smart home setup.
For those who aren’t familiar, ‘Followed By’ allows you to create a sequence of events, which can be incredibly useful for deducing actions based on the order of triggers. For example, I’ve set up a system using two motion sensors—one at the top and one at the bottom of my stairs. By using ‘Followed By’, I can determine if someone is moving up or down the stairs based on the sequence of sensor activations.
Here’s how it works: if the bottom sensor triggers first, followed by the top sensor within a set timeframe, I know someone is heading upstairs. Conversely, if the top sensor triggers first, followed by the bottom, it means someone is coming downstairs. This has been a game-changer for automating lights and other devices based on movement direction.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has used this feature creatively or if there are other innovative ways to leverage it. It’s amazing how such a simple concept can add so much functionality to our smart homes! ![]()
