Exploring Wi-Fi Based Location Tracking and Energy Monitoring

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into some interesting projects lately with my smart home setup, and I wanted to share a couple of things I’ve been working on.

First off, I’ve been experimenting with using Wi-Fi connectivity to update my location zones. I noticed that while my phone’s GPS does a decent job, it often takes a while to update my zone after connecting to my home Wi-Fi. I’m curious if there’s a smarter way to make this happen instantly. Does anyone have tips or tricks to ensure the location updates as soon as I connect to my home network?

On another note, I’ve been exploring the Homey dashboard for energy monitoring. It’s fantastic to see real-time usage, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to display multiple power sources in a single widget. For example, having L1, L2, and L3 all in one place would be super helpful for a clearer overview. Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, I stumbled upon an issue where a motion-activated light system stopped working out of the blue. The sensors detect motion, and the lights physically work, but the automation just doesn’t trigger anymore. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, and I’d love to hear if anyone has encountered something similar or has debugging tips.

It’s amazing how these little tweaks can make such a big difference in how our smart homes function. I’d love to hear about your experiences and any clever solutions you’ve come across! Let’s keep the conversation flowing!
