Recently, I decided to upgrade my home security system with the Wyze Video Doorbell v2. I’ve been using Wyze devices for a while now, and I was excited to see what this new addition could offer. However, I quickly noticed something that piqued my interest: the doorbell and motion alerts both use the same sound notification. While this works, I miss the ability to customize sounds for different events, as I did with my previous Ring doorbell. I’m hoping this feature might be added in a future update, as it would make distinguishing between different alerts much easier.
Speaking of customization, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation with my Tasmota 16CH relay module. This device has been a game-changer for controlling my floor heating system. I’ve been using HTTP requests to manage the relays, which has worked perfectly. However, I’m looking to take it a step further. I want to create a flow where if any of the relays 1-15 are turned on, relay 16 also activates. This would ensure that the signal relay stays on whenever there’s activity, providing a more seamless heating experience. If anyone has experience with setting up such flows, I’d love to hear your insights!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring Govee’s range of LED lights and smart bulbs. Their products have consistently impressed me with their brightness, color accuracy, and ease of use. It’s amazing how a well-lit space can completely transform a room. I’m particularly fond of their ability to integrate seamlessly with my existing smart home setup, making my life a bit easier and more enjoyable.
As I continue my journey into smart home automation, I’m constantly amazed by the possibilities these devices unlock. Whether it’s enhancing security, automating routines, or simply brightening up my space, each new addition brings a fresh wave of excitement. I’m eager to see what the future holds and how I can further integrate these technologies into my daily life.
