Earlier this morning, we experienced a very brief power flicker. Interestingly, only the Wyze bulb and an LED on my bedroom TV reacted to this minor disruption. All other devices, including cameras, hubs, Hue bulbs, locks, alarm systems, and even the microwave clock, remained unaffected. However, the Wyze bulb exhibited unusual behavior by staying lit after the flicker. This unexpected reaction left me curious about the bulb’s sensitivity to power fluctuations. I decided to investigate further and discovered that the bulb’s firmware might need an update to handle such situations more gracefully. After updating, the bulb now responds appropriately to power changes, ensuring a smoother experience. This incident highlighted the importance of regular firmware updates to maintain optimal device performance.
