I’ve been exploring the capabilities of my Wyze bulbs and Tuya curtains, and I wanted to share my experiences and questions with the community. First, regarding the Wyze bulbs, I’ve been trying to set up global rules to adjust the brightness and color temperature of all my lights at specific times of the day without turning them on or off. This worked perfectly when I first set it up, but after adding and moving some bulbs, I’m struggling to maintain this functionality. I’d love to know if there’s a way to ensure these rules apply universally across all bulbs or specific groups, even as my setup evolves. It would be fantastic to have this automation without interfering with other actions that control the lights’ on/off states. I’m really curious if others have found a reliable solution for this.
On another note, I’ve been working on automating my Tuya curtains to open when the door sensor is triggered and close based on time or sunset. While the basic automation works, restoring the curtain’s previous state after closing has been a challenge. I’ve tried using snapshots and helper numbers to save the curtain position, but it doesn’t seem to work as expected. I came across some helpful posts about using templates, but I’m still not quite getting it right. If anyone has successfully implemented this kind of automation, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have.
Overall, I’m really impressed with how much I can do with these devices, but there’s always room for improvement. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to continue exploring the possibilities of integrating these smart home components. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can share!
