Hello everyone! I recently started exploring the possibilities of integrating my Wyze cameras into a more comprehensive smart home setup, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community.
One of my main goals is to grant friends and family limited access to my Wyze cams without compromising privacy or control. I’ve experimented with enabling RTSP and using OBS and Manycam, but I’m still seeking a solution that allows users to view specific cameras or even all at once through an online service. If anyone has recommendations or insights, I’d greatly appreciate it!
On another note, I’ve been diving into Home Assistant and experimenting with setting up multiple IP addresses for my VM to better manage IoT devices. While I’ve made some progress, I’m still encountering connectivity issues, especially with devices like Sonos that don’t support VLAN. I’d love to hear if others have successfully navigated similar challenges or have tips for optimizing network configurations.
Lastly, I’d like to share a small victory—I recently set up an IFTTT automation that integrates my smart lights with my routine schedule, ensuring the house is always welcoming when I arrive home. It’s a simple yet incredibly satisfying setup!
