I recently set up the Wyze Cam Outdoor and Base Station, and I must say, they’ve been performing exceptionally well! The connection between the camera and the Base Station is consistently strong, with 2 or 3 bars, and I receive notifications within just a minute of any activity. It’s reassuring to know that everything works seamlessly out of the box.
However, I have a question that I’m hoping the community can help with. I noticed a new Wi-Fi spot labeled WYZE_########## appearing in my home network. I’m curious to know if this is from the Base Station or the Cam Outdoor. Since the Base Station is wired into my mesh network, I assume it’s the Base Station communicating with the camera. If that’s the case, is there a way to hide this SSID or enhance its security? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, I’m really impressed with the Wyze Cam Outdoor and Base Station setup. Their reliability and ease of use make them a great addition to my smart home ecosystem. I’m just eager to tweak this minor detail to ensure everything is running smoothly and securely.
