Hey everyone! I’ve been playing around with my new Wyze Cam V3 and thought I’d share my experiences. I’ve had two Wyze V2 cams for a while now, but recently one of them started having serious image quality issues. I decided to upgrade to the V3 to see how it compares. So far, I’m really impressed with the V3’s performance and clarity. I’ve been using it alongside my old V2, which I’ve repurposed for a fun little project—I’ve set it up with RTSP firmware and connected it to a basic motion detection pipeline. It’s been a great way to experiment with object detection, even though the picture quality isn’t as sharp as the V3. I’ve managed to detect things like people, phones, and computers, which is pretty cool for a DIY setup. I’d love to hear how others are using their Wyze cams for more than just surveillance.
