Exploring Wyze Camera Behavior and Govee Lighting Solutions

Hello all, I wanted to share my recent experiences with my Wyze cameras and Govee lighting setup. First, I noticed that whenever there’s a power outage, even a brief one, my Wyze cameras turn themselves back on once power is restored. While this might seem like a useful feature, it’s actually a bit of a nuisance for privacy reasons, especially when guests are around. I reached out to Wyze support, but they couldn’t replicate the issue. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? I’d love to hear if there’s a workaround or if others have the same experience.

On a more positive note, I recently purchased some Govee LED strips and I must say, they’ve been a fantastic addition to my home setup. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions really brighten up the place. I was a bit concerned when I noticed a slight price increase on their 5m RGBIC strips, but the quality and performance definitely justify the price. If anyone is looking for affordable yet high-quality lighting solutions, I highly recommend checking out Govee’s offerings.

Another thing I’d like to discuss is the importance of testing and understanding your automation rules. I set up an automation to turn off my lights at 9 PM, but I realized it would be better to have more flexibility, like turning them off via voice command if needed. I’m still tweaking the rules to make sure everything works seamlessly. I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions others might have for optimizing such automations.

Lastly, I wanted to express my gratitude to the community for all the helpful advice and support. It’s amazing how many solutions and insights you can find just by engaging with others who share the same interests. Keep the discussions going and let’s continue to explore and improve our smart home setups together!
