Exploring Wyze Camera Continuous Recording Capabilities

Hi everyone! I’ve recently made the switch from Ring to Wyze cameras, and I must say, the Wyze ecosystem has been impressing me so far. I currently have a setup with 5 Wyze Cameras, including 2 v3 Pros, 2 v3 Pans, and 1 v3. I also upgraded to the Plus Subscription to unlock additional features.

One thing I’m curious about is the continuous recording functionality. I purchased the Wyze branded 256GB SD cards for my cameras, and I’m wondering how much footage I can realistically store with continuous recording compared to event-based recording. If anyone has experience or insights on this, I’d greatly appreciate your input!

I’m also thinking about how this could benefit my home security setup. Continuous recording might provide a more comprehensive security solution, especially for monitoring areas that don’t trigger motion sensors frequently. However, I’m also mindful of the storage limitations and want to ensure I’m making the most of my investment.

If anyone has tips on optimizing storage usage or recommendations based on their own experiences with Wyze cameras, please share! I’m excited to learn more and make the most out of my Wyze setup. Thanks in advance for your help!
