Exploring Wyze Camera Firmware Updates and Group Viewing Features

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Wyze cameras lately and have a few thoughts and questions I’d love to share. First off, I’ve noticed that the Automatic Firmware Update option has started showing up on my V3 cameras and Outdoor Plugs, but it’s not available on my V2 or OG cameras. I’m curious if this is a feature that’s rolling out gradually or if there’s something I can do to enable it on all my devices. I’m on the latest Android app version, so I’m assuming it’s just a matter of time before it becomes widely available. If anyone has more insights on this, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

On another note, I’ve been using Wyze cameras to monitor multiple areas in my home, and I have to say, the camera group viewing feature has been a lifesaver. Currently, it allows me to view up to four live streams at once, which is great, but I can’t help but wonder—would a 3x3 grid be possible? Being able to see nine cameras simultaneously would make monitoring even more efficient, especially for larger homes or properties. I’ve heard a few others in the community mention this idea too, so I’m hopeful it’s something Wyze is considering for future updates.

I’d also love to hear about anyone’s experiences with integrating different brands of smart devices. I’m thinking of expanding my setup with some LED lights for my gaming room, but I’m not sure whether to go with color-changing bulbs or stick with something simpler. If anyone has tips or recommendations, I’d appreciate it!

Looking forward to hearing from you all and sharing more insights as I continue exploring the world of smart home tech. Let’s keep the conversation going!
