On the other hand, I’ve recently come across Govee products, and I’m thoroughly impressed. Their RGBIC LED strip lights are absolutely stunning, and the fact that they come with covers makes them perfect for my home decor. I’ve installed them in my living room, and they’ve completely transformed the ambiance. The app integration is smooth, and I can control them effortlessly from my phone.
Another thing I’ve been exploring is setting up a virtual thermostat using OpenHAB. I’ve created a script that switches on an IR heater when the room temperature drops below a certain threshold and turns it off when it rises above another. It’s been working like a charm, and I’ve even added some logging to keep track of the heater’s activity. Lastly, I’ve been thinking about expanding my Z-Wave network. I have a few repeaters already, but I’m considering adding more to ensure better coverage, especially in areas where signals tend to weaken. I’m curious about the best practices for adding Z-Wave Plus repeaters and how they interact with existing devices.
