Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart home notifications and camera integration, and I wanted to share my experiences and questions with you all. I’ve been using a PAN Cam with a Wyze Sense Bridge and an entry sensor, but I’m running into an issue with notifications that’s driving me a bit nuts. Every time the sensor triggers, my phone is flooded with alerts, and it’s just not the seamless experience I was hoping for.
What I really want is for the notification to be a simple beep directly from the PAN-Cam speaker or even my Amazon Echo. I’ve tried a few settings adjustments, but nothing seems to stick. Has anyone successfully redirected notifications to their camera or Echo? I’d love to hear your tips or tricks!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring outdoor cameras and their field of view. It’s surprising how little information is available on this crucial spec. I’d love to know if anyone has tips on optimizing camera placement for the best coverage. Speaking of cameras, I’ve been impressed with the Govee doorbell, but I’m curious if others have thoughts on potential enhancements like Alexa or Google integration for even more functionality.
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with automation rules for my lights. I set up a rule where the lights turn on at 20% brightness and turn off after 20 minutes of no motion. It works perfectly, but here’s the catch: if I manually increase the brightness to 100%, the rule still kicks in after 20 minutes, dropping it back to 20%. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m determined to figure out a workaround. Maybe adjusting the rule to account for manual overrides? I’m still tinkering with it.
This journey into smart home tech is both challenging and rewarding, and I’m grateful for this community for all the support and inspiration. Let’s keep the ideas flowing!
