Exploring WyzeCam v2 Offline Recording & Thermostat Setup

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately, and I’m excited to share some of my experiences and questions with the community. First off, I’ve been using the WyzeCam v2 for a while now, and I’ve noticed something a bit puzzling. When the camera goes offline, it stops recording to the SD card, even though I thought local storage should always be available. Has anyone else experienced this, or perhaps have a workaround? It would be great to ensure continuous recording regardless of internet connectivity!

On another note, I’ve recently purchased a 4th Gen Thermostat and I’m in the process of setting it up with my Lennox X15 heat pump and G50UH-36B gas furnace. The heat pump has been out of commission for years, so I need the thermostat to exclusively control the gas furnace and AC. The previous setup involved a series of jumper wires and specific wire connections, but I’m a bit unsure about how to replicate this with the new thermostat. If anyone has successfully set up a similar system or has some tips, I’d be incredibly grateful!

Lastly, I wanted to touch on the importance of community support in the smart home ecosystem. From troubleshooting devices to sharing tips and tricks, forums like this are invaluable. If you’ve got any insights or experiences to share, whether it’s about cameras, thermostats, or anything else, please chime in! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our smart home setups. Thanks in advance for your wisdom and advice!
