I’ve been diving into the world of Z-Wave devices lately, and I must say, it’s been an enlightening journey. Recently, I added a couple of Aeotec Trisensors to my setup, and while they’ve been a breeze to integrate, I noticed some intriguing behaviors that I wanted to explore further. The sensors are supposed to revert to an off state after a timeout, but only one of them does so reliably. The other sensor stubbornly stays on, which is a bit puzzling. I checked the Admin UI and noticed some discrepancies in how the sensors report their states compared to the mobile app. It’s almost as if the Admin UI isn’t getting the full picture, while the mobile app sees everything clearly. I tried tweaking the sensor parameters, but that just led to communication errors. It’s like the sensors are playing hide and seek with their statuses.
